Steinbach Wedding Photographers + Evergreen Village

Highlights from Rob & Karel’s wedding last Saturday.

We started the day out in Steinbach for the getting ready chapter and had the first meet at Rob’s parent’s place. I wanted to do it outside on two rocking chairs, but it started pouring a couple of minutes before Karel was scheduled to arrive… Typical : )

I had to think quick and asked what their shed looked like. Rob’s mom and dad thought I was crazy to even think about this as it was dirty, with cobwebs and straw everywhere out back in the “horse barn”… My eyes lit up : ) I had a quick look and knew it would be perfect!!

It was raining on and off after that so we had fun in their old greenhouse before heading out the Evergreen Village.

It was still raining and we had to do the rest of the photos indoors. The old house made for a beautiful dramatic backdrop. I still wanted more and opened the closed door to the basement. It was old, dirty and to honest a little scary… Loved the photos we got there and had fun with all the “props”…

The reception “tent” looked like something from a beautiful Hollywood wedding. Amazing decorating!

All and all a beautiful day with amazing people! We had fun, everyone was happy and Rob cried the whole day! LOL!

Congratulations you guys! We had a great time with you and wish you only the best life has to offer on your journey ahead.

Usually it’s the bride and groom that goes into the surprise funky first dance, but this time it was Rob and his mom giving everyone a show.  From a slow dance to a waltz a bit of swing and back – WOW!  It was amazing.  Well played you guys.

Wedding in Birds Hill Park + Pine Ridge Hollow

Highlights from Janelle and Mike’s wedding at Pine Ridge Hollow out in Birds Hill Park, MB.

We started the day with getting ready action in the city before heading out to Birds Hill Park for the first meet. I know taking photos before the ceremony is not for everyone, but I do try to make it as romantic and impact full as possible…
Yes, Mike did shed a tear!

We had fun with the bridal party and then some alone time with Mike and Janelle in the blazing sun before heading back to Pine Ridge Hollow for the ceremony and reception.

It was another beautiful day out in the country and we loved spending the day with this couple and all their family and friends! Really awesome day!

Congratulations you guys and good luck with the move out to B.C. I look forward to coming out there for your next shoot… Hint, hint!

Janelle’s mom – you were a hoot : )

Winnipeg Wedding Photographers + Terrace 55

Highlights from Jenny & Mat’s wedding last Saturday here in Winnipeg.

The weather sure is crazy right now as it felt like 30C on Saturday and then today I want to put on some Long Johns…

Esther and I started the getting ready part of the day (without Long Johns) at the Greenwood Inn and Jenny’s friends’ home before we headed off to Terrace 55 for the beautiful ceremony.

The reception was held at the Greenwood Inn and Andrea from Soiree Event and Wedding Planning made sure the room looked beautiful and everything ran ahead of time.

Congratulations once again guys! We hope you guys have a great life together and lots of little ones to keep you busy.

Mat – remember I have your number on speed dial should I ever get a speeding ticket…

Steinbach Portrait Photographers + Graduation Fashion Shoot

I got together with the beautiful and very talented Ariana last week to do a fashion shoot as celebration of her graduating and from what I gathered to say goodbye to her long hair as well…

She had two very beautiful dresses to showcase.  I asked her before we started shooting if she’s seen my work (her mom organized the shoot) as I wanted to make sure she knew what she would end up with.  This might be a little off topic but it is SO important to make sure when you invest in a photographer that you love his or her style.  This way all parties concerned will be happy with the end result.

She said she loved my style and I knew then that we would end up with some wicked images.

I mentioned that she was talented as well.  She is an amazing painter and I can’t wait for her to set up an online presence so I can share the link.  It really is fresh and creative.

Thank you for setting this up Dianne and congratulations on your daughter’s graduation.  I am sure her future will be a bright one.

Enjoy the teazer and I look forward to your comments.

Pine Ridge Hollow + Birds Hill Park Photographers

Highlights from Lindsay & Michael’s wedding last Monday.

It was the hottest day of the year and we sure were sweating… I loved their first meet of the day in one of the old buildings in the exchange. Lindsay felt it…

One of the highlights from the day was when a random stranger (older lady) offered me photography tips as she felt I was shooting in too bright an area… LOL! Love it.

After the first meet in the exchange we headed out to Birds Hill Park for the ceremony at Pine Ridge Hollow.  It was the hottest I have ever been in Canada!  People have told me that it can get hot out here, but in my 3 years as a Manitoban I started to believe they were all pulling my leg.  Well – now I believe you guys!

I made sure that the couple drank water throughout the day, because it sure was the perfect day for someone to pass out.

We then headed out into the park with the bridal party in Lindsay’s dad’s old limo for some fun photos.  I have said it before, but will again – I love shooting out there!

Once again congratulations you guys! I loved spending the day with you and am excited to post some of the wicked photos you were able to make.

Lindsay – I sure am happy you did not pass out. It was insanity to play around in the sun with me – but hey – it was worth it…

Vicki Lundmark - Beautiful photos!!
Michael is my cousin, the best man is my brother and the groomsman is my boyfriend.
It was really nice to see them all have a great time, even in the heat.
You captured Lindsay and Michael perfectly! I cried a little and had a few chuckles while watching the video. Great Work!
